Wendy Williams shades Beyonce after singer ditched BET Awards early

Wendy Williams appeared to throw some subtle shade on Beyonce’s way following the superstar’s BET performance.  The singer wowed the crowds when she opened the show with a powerful surprise rendition of Freedom with Kendrick Lamar. 

But the singer then had to hop on a private plane to fly to London straight after, leaving her mum Tina Knowles to collect her award for Video of The Year.  Her mum told the audience that the singer had a show in the UK, though the first Formation gig isn’t until 28 June.  And speaking on Monday’s show, Wendy Williams addressed Bey ditching the bash early.


“It was really good [her performance]. Nobody knew Beyonce was going to be there but she showed up and then she had to leave right after her performance. In my mind she went with this ensemble on,” she said pointing to a picture of Sunday's outfit.  "How normal is that life? On one hand it seems very glamorous. That you might want that life, but on the other hand it seems like an odd life to perform and then hop on a private plane… and fly to London

"She was so hoppalicious her mum Tina accepted the award she won later on in the show,” she said as the crowd booed.  "Yeah, because Beyonce had to jump on the plane."  Shade or no shade?
