Finally WhatsApp to join other messengers and support GIFs
WhatsApp will at long last look to integrate GIFs into your chats, in a move that will be praised around the globe.
While
the likes of Facebook Messenger, Twitter and many other chat platforms have long
supported the art of the GIF, WhatsApp has apparently had its focus
trained elsewhere, with the recent end-to-end encryption feature
implemented alongside rumours of upcoming video calls.
That
is until a recent tweet from @WABetaInfo, which tracks changes to
WhatsApp beta updates, noted that version 2.16.7.1 of the app will now
autoplay GIF links and embed them directly into your conversations.
So now you know what to do: prepare the GIFs.
